This relaxed and scenic walk follows the historical town of Tramin - homeland of the variety Gewurztraminer, the vineyards around one of the most celebrated areas for this unique grape variety in Alto Adige. The path gently winds its way along 3-4 kilometers, offering panoramic views over Bassa Atesina, picturesque vineyards.

Along the route, you will learn about the history of winemaking and viticulture in South Tyrol, the unique microclimate of these hillsides, and why this region has earned a reputation as the home of some of Italy’s best Gewurztraminer. Informational points along the trail highlight the connection between local traditions, geology, and wine. You will also pass by the historic medieval church, adding a touch of charm to the journey.

At the end of the walk, enjoy a tasting of local wines, where Gewürztraminer — intense, refined, and expressive — takes center stage. This tour is ideal for those who prefer an easy-going pace, beautiful scenery, and great wine in good company.
